Yoga helps kids to relax, relieve stress and anxiety, sleep better, improve emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood.
Yoga and meditation incorporates breathing and movement which also helps to slow the parasympathetic nervous system yet increase strength, flexibility and mindfulness. It helps children to regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety, boosts self esteem, increases body awareness, enhances concentration, provides them with an opportunity to express themselves, encourages openness about emotions and allows acceptance of all emotions including strong ones that are sometimes perceived as negative because we all have them and I encourage acceptance of this and provide tools in which the children can deal with them in a positive way.
Rainbow Park Yoga teaches children form 18 months to 18 years and their families.
